Apprentices and Pupils

We provide committed apprentices and pupils with high-quality training. Highlights include helpful colleagues, challenging tasks, courses covering topics of practical relevance and instructive training periods at our international subsidiaries.

We at EOS consider training quality a key priority. To this end, we maintain an on-going dialogue with our apprentices and trainees and ensure regular train-the-trainer events.

The high percentage of trainees subsequently being offered employment in our company is proof of the high quality of our apprenticeship programmes. After the completion of your training, you will have access to interesting and flexible career paths to match your interests, abilities and performance.

Apprenticeships

As an apprentice at EOS, you will be trusted with responsible tasks from the start, thus actively supporting your colleagues as a fully-fledged team member. We offer you three exciting careers to start your professional life in:

Mechatronics technician
As an apprentice mechatronics technician, you will learn how to build and later operate a complete EOS laser sintering system from mechanical, electrical and electronic components and data.

A passion for technology and manual dexterity will be great assets to help you start your training and collaborate with our workshop and development department. In addition, you would profit from solid mathematical knowledge and good marks in physics in order to execute design drawings and calculations.

The duration of this apprenticeship is 3½ years. For participants who did well in school, this period can be reduced to 3 years. After successful completion of your apprenticeship we will be pleased to look into employing you permanently.
Industrial clerk
During your apprenticeship as an Industrial clerk, you will learn to understand and manage processes related to business administration. Industrial clerks are the all-rounders of their company. Their varied tasks range from creating cost calculations and price lists, managing incoming orders, invoice posting and checking to contributing to the development of new marketing strategies and management of applicants in our Human Resources department.

Given the versatile nature of this career path, you should enjoy adapting to new requirements, colleagues, and tasks. Good mathematical knowledge or some experience with business administration processes through relevant school subjects will be an advantage. Excellent communication skills and a willingness to communicate with international customers, suppliers, applicants and colleagues either in writing or on the telephone are an absolute prerequisite, as is a good knowledge of English.

The normal duration of this apprenticeship is 3 years. However, this period can be reduced to 2.5 years if you can produce a vocational A-level equivalent, A-levels, GCSE levels or are achieving outstanding marks in your vocational studies. After successful completion of your apprenticeship we will be pleased to look into employing you permanently.
IT specialist in systems integration
During your apprenticeship as an IT specialist in systems integration you will learn how to design, install, maintain and administer information and communications technology systems. You will also become familiar with client operating systems and virtual environments. We will equip you with the knowledge you need to provide competent assistance at our IT service desk when people call in with problems.

If you are considering an apprenticeship as an IT specialist in systems integration, you should have a keen interest in information and communications technology. You will be in constant contact with your colleagues, which is why reliability and a strong service mindset are crucial prerequisites for this career path. Since our IT department is also responsible for our international subsidies, you should have a good command of spoken English.

The duration of this apprenticeship is 3 years. This period can be reduced to 2.5 years if you can produce a vocational A-level equivalent, A-levels, GCSE levels or are achieving outstanding marks in your vocational studies. After successful completion of your apprenticeship we will be pleased to look into employing you permanently.
